People & Culture Intern

About us:

Up to 15 percent of a major city’s space is used for parking. At the same time, roughly 85 percent of existing parking spaces are daily unoccupied. At ParkBee, we are on a mission to change that. We develop smart technology to optimise the use of existing parking space, thereby allowing cities to reduce on-street parking and give space back to the city. These last few years we have seen our business grow exponentially and our goal is to expand even further.

ParkBee is growing rapidly and the team is playing a central role in this. Currently we have a team of 57 people in The Netherlands and 6 people working in our London office and we keep growing! Our People & Culture team is responsible for attracting and hiring talented people, stimulating and coordinating personal and team development, and responsible for everything that has to do with creating an inspiring and cool workspace - even online.


What you’ll be doing: 

Every day is different at ParkBee, with new challenges and opportunities. We are a dynamic company with an open feedback culture. As People & Culture Intern you’re not you’re not just any intern, but a valued member of a relatively small team. 

As an HR & Employer Branding intern you will assist the Dutch People & Culture team and work closely with our People & Culture manager where you’ll learn about literally everything that has to do with HR and creating a strong company culture. Are you creative, an organisational talent and an admin hero at the same time? Then this is the place to be! 


In this role, you will:

  • Be creating and improving People Processes together with the People & Culture Manager;
  • Show you’re creativity and work on initiatives which encourage the internal connectivity even in times we work mostly remotely;
  • Improve current HR systems like our career site, online handbook and project management tools and research future HR systems which help us to grow;
  • Take on long-term projects related to employee personal development and feedback cycles;
  • Assist in team event planning and office management. Think of our next team weekend, creating amazing onboarding packages or our next Themed Friday Drinks;
  • Recruit our next team of interns and work closely with our internal recruiters;
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities and agencies that house large talent pools;
  • Help in onboarding new colleagues and assist existing team members with daily requests.

Who we’re looking for:

We need someone who is passionate about organising, loves to work with people and is not afraid to take on new responsibilities. Someone who loves the idea of being part of a fast growing organisation, rolling up your sleeves and making a difference every day. You are creative and innovative, love to come up with new ideas. Thereby you’re not easily stressed... Even in the busiest of times, you are able to keep a cool head with your planning and organisational skills. 


We’re likely to be a match, if you:

  • Are currently studying or a recent graduate from the fields of Business administration, Human Resources, Communications or Psychology and looking for a 5 to 6 month internship as of January or February 2021;
  • Are looking for a full-time internship (40 hours) and currently based closely to Amsterdam (max 40 km away);
  • Are fluent in English, bonus points if you speak Dutch as well;
  • Like to organise team events and are very organised yourself; 
  • Are a team player and love to care about the team;
  • Have great computer skills and are tech savvy.
