About us 

Up to 15% of the major city’s space is used for on-street parking. At the same time, a lot of indoor parking spots remain empty. At ParkBee we are on a mission to change that. We develop smart tech solutions to get parked cars off the street.

We are developing a cloud-based service to integrate with third-party applications such as Parkmobile, Park-line and RingGo. As a development team, we are striving to build stable and scalable systems. Our goal is to offer the ultimate service for customers and real-estate owners by connecting with multiple providers. Your role in the team

Our software is currently serving hundreds of thousands of users in the Netherlands and the UK, and this number is surely expected to increase. To make sure we provide the market with an optimal product, we need to continuously invest in technology and innovation. As a front-end developer, you will play a crucial role here, because ParkBee’s product is constantly evolving and will only become more important.

You will be working in a very diverse team, with a total of ten team members with a very different background.

As part of the product team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building all of the front-end parts of the system, both customer-facing and internal tools, which means coding in the heart of ParkBee, and also help setting up the vision for our front-end services.
  • Improving the scalability and maintainability of our code, working on new technologies, and developing new features from scratch; that’s where you come in.
  • Above all it’s your responsibility to innovate! ParkBeeBee encourages you to tweak, hack, and break on our Friday Innovation Days to show potential areas we can grow! Some projects our development team is working on are integrations with (license plate recognition) camera systems, remote control, NFC, and other new developments.


Who we are looking for

We are in need of someone who is not afraid to try new things. Someone who wants to make a difference and who’s eager to make an impact on a fast-growing company. You're someone who enjoys giving and receiving feedback within your team, as you strongly believe in constant self-development.

 

We’ll likely to be a match if you: 

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a front-end developer
  • Have experience with Git and Git Flow
  • Are used to work with front-end frameworks like Angular, React, and Aurelia. 
  • Have experience with testing frameworks 
  • Good understanding of agile and scrum
  • Knowledge of different design patterns is a plus and experience with AngularJs is a plus
  • Are currently living in the Netherlands
