Marketing Manager


Start date: Preferably as of July 2019

In Amsterdam, 13 percent of the city’s space is used for parking. Still, it’s super hard to find a parking spot. At ParkBee we are on a mission to change that. We develop smart tech to make the underutilised parking space of office buildings, apartments, hotels and public car parks - available to the public.

It is our ambition to fully optimise existing parking infrastructure, transitioning on-street parkers to off-street locations, giving space back to the city.

Over the last few years, we have grown from an ambitious start-up to an even more ambitious scale-up. We have two offices, in the Netherlands and the UK and manage over 150 ParkBee-locations. We need you to lead our marketing strategy in the Netherlands to boost the performance of our car parks in collaboration with our partners and create the best customer journey to push our growth forward and realise our ambitions.

Marketing at ParkBee

To reach the optimal level of utilisation of our car parks we focus on different target groups via many channels. We work closely together with the app providers, that also provide the front-end access to our locations; Parkmobile, Park-line amongst many more to come. With their large user base and knowledge of Search, Affiliate and Behavioural marketing they form an important marketing partner. We focus on our own growth hacking campaigns, to attract high value returning users, like business people or residents. We acquire those loyal ‘ParkBee fans’ via online and offline campaigns, our dynamic pricing strategies, customer experience and loyalty programmes.

What you’ll be doing:

As our Marketing Manager you have a very important role in the growth of ParkBee in the Netherlands. You are responsible for the marketing strategy and customer journey to attract and retain high value users. You execute and analyse both online and offline marketing campaigns. You work very closely together with our operations and data team and form a team with our global marketing lead and marketing intern(s) to continuously find ways to hack growth.


  • Create and execute a brilliant ongoing marketing strategy to attract high retaining users.
  • Work closely together with the marketing teams of the app providers in our network to stimulate them to promote our locations in the most effective way and achieve our common goal: activate their app users to park at ParkBee locations.
  • Analyse user data and ParkBee location data, to finetune our marketing plans accordingly to get optimal results.
  • Coordinate local promotional activities, create content and execute campaigns, to push specific locations.
  • Analyse and optimise the User Experience to increase conversion and customer retention.
  • Be an important manager of our brand, managing our online marketing channels and looking over our positioning in the Netherlands.

Who we’re looking for:

We're looking for a marketing all rounder that is creative,  likes taking responsibility and has a strong hands-on mentality. You understand what a great marketing campaign is and can take the lead from planning to execution. You are familiar with different data analytic tools and can use them to analyse and optimise all marketing campaigns. Your are creative and having the freedom to implement your own ideas is what you love. You get excited by creating, testing and optimising. You feel at home in a hard-working, energetic environment and are ready to make a difference and really take our local marketing to the next level.

We will likely be a match, if:

  • You have 2-5 years full time work experience - preferably you worked as a marketer in a fast-growing environment like a startup or scale-up.
  • You have experience with creating, executing and analysing full funnel marketing strategies to acquire new users and retain high value users.
  • You have experience leading a data-driven marketing strategy using quantitative insights (surveys, A/B testing, etc.) and you are familiar with tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords and Social advertisement tools
  • You’re a real stakeholder manager, you understand how to work together with external partners and focus on common goals
  • You are fluent in Dutch and comfortable in speaking English.
  • You have experience with loyalty/retention programs - that’s a big plus
