Marketing Manager


Start date: Preferably as of September 2019

In Amsterdam, 13 percent of the city’s space is used for parking. Still, it’s super hard to find a parking spot. At ParkBee we are on a mission to change that. We develop smart tech to make the underutilised parking space of office buildings, apartments, hotels and public car parks - available to the public.

It is our ambition to fully optimise existing parking infrastructure, transitioning on-street parkers to off-street locations, giving space back to the city.

Over the last few years, we have grown from an ambitious start-up to an even more ambitious scale-up. We have two offices, in the Netherlands and the UK and manage over 150 ParkBee-locations. We need you to lead our marketing strategy in the Netherlands to boost the performance of our car parks. You’ll work in close collaboration with our partners with focus on creating the best customer journey to push our growth forward and realise our ambitions.

Marketing at ParkBee

To reach the optimal level of utilisation of our car parks we focus on different target groups via multiple channels. Within ParkBee we focus on growth hacking campaigns to attract high value returning users, like business people or residents. We acquire those loyal ‘ParkBee fans’ via a combination of online and offline campaigns. We’re using Search Marketing, Social Advertising, dynamic pricing strategies and loyalty programes.

A key element of Marketing at Parkbee are our partnerships;
Our locations are accessible via multiple parking apps such as Parkmobile and Park-line. The marketing teams of these parking apps have powerful tools to reach out to their own users to convert them to our locations. As Marketing Manager you will own the relationship with our partners; together with their specialised marketing teams you will create a high-level strategy and coordinate the marketing planning. 

We’re about to start working with more parking apps soon, which means we can make use of their marketing power as well. This is a big step within ParkBee! We expect that your hands-on partnership management skills will become more important in this role in the nearby future.

What you’ll be doing:

As our Marketing Manager, you will play a key-role in the growth of ParkBee in the Netherlands. You are responsible for both the performance of our locations portfolio and for attracting and retaining high-value users. You will work closely with our operations and data team and you’ll team up with our global marketing lead and marketing intern(s) to continuously find ways to realise user growth.


  • Create and execute a brilliant ongoing marketing strategy via our own channels to attract and retain high-value users.
  • Co-create and coordinate the marketing strategy with the marketing team of the parking apps to achieve our common goal: activate their app users to park at ParkBee locations.
  • Analyse user data and ParkBee location data, to finetune the marketing plans accordingly to get optimal results.
  • Coordinate local promotional activities, create content and execute Online and Offline marketing campaigns, to push specific locations.

Who we’re looking for:

We're looking for a creative marketing all-rounder who likes taking responsibility and has a hands-on mentality. You understand what a great marketing campaign is and can take the lead from planning to execution. You are familiar with data analytics and digital advertisement tools and can use them to analyse and optimise all marketing campaigns. You are creative and having the freedom to implement your own ideas is what you love. You get excited by creating, testing and optimising. You feel at home in a hard-working, energetic environment and are ready to make a difference and take our local marketing to the next level.

We will likely be a match, if:

  • You have 2-5 years of full-time work experience - preferably you worked as a marketer in a fast-growing environment
  • You have experience with creating, executing and analysing full-funnel marketing strategies to acquire new users and retain users.
  • You have experience leading a data-driven marketing strategy using quantitative insights (surveys, A/B testing, etc.) and you are familiar with tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords and Facebook Ads Manager
  • You’re a real stakeholder manager, you understand how to work together with external partners and focus on common goals
  • You are fluent in Dutch and comfortable speaking English.
