At ParkBee, we optimise the use of existing parking spaces. To that end, developing smart technology to make better use of these underutilised spaces and working closely with parking owners is vital to ensure the best experience for drivers and, most importantly, to give back space to our increasingly busy cities!

How you contribute to ParkBee

Our mission is bold and challenging: we want to become the leading online parking platform in Europe. To achieve this, you, as our Visual Design Intern, will be a key part of the ParkBee Design team. The Design team is responsible for implementing and guiding the look and feel of ParkBee's products. Taking a seat in the Design team, you will work closely with colleagues like WeiFang (UI Designer), Luca (UX Designer) or Jaap (Design Lead) to enable ParkBee's growth. Combine that with solving a global problem, and you'll get a legacy you'll want to leave behind, right?

You are that bright, creative and fun student who has the skills to contribute to our team. With that eagerness to learn and your work alongside an experienced Visual Designer, you will be able to translate ParkBee's strategy and identity into the digital realm. Your day-to-day work will consist of supporting the people at ParkBee with design guidelines and assets that inspire and empower your colleagues in Brand design, Marketing and Development to perform their best work.

The job

• Your main focus is to translate our digital design framework into inspiring and effective customer experience. This varies from our own promotional material to developing styleguides to help others creating designs while safeguarding our unique ParkBee look & feel;

• You contribute to the development of our offline visual identity;

• You are involved in helping the design team with everyday design challenges and design requests from various product teams;

• You learn all the parts from the design process- from envisioning and defining experiences with the team, through iterations and fine-tuning interactions, all the way until the final documentation and implementation.

We have your perfect spot if:

• You are currently studying in the fields Digital Design, Digital Media, CMD, Graphic Design, Brand Design;

• You are already a fully-equipped intern and know how to use tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, Sketch, etc;

• You have a curious nature and proactive mindset and you are eager to learn;

• You are fine-details oriented and not afraid to ask questions or approach others;

• Your would ideally start your internship in the summer of 2022 but no later than September and be available a minimum of 24h per week for a flexible period in between 4 to 6 months;

• You are currently living in the Netherlands and willing to commute to or live in Amsterdam;

• You are proficient in English; bonus if you are fluent in Dutch.
