Business Development & Acquisitions Intern

We are on the lookout for an ambitious and analytical intern to join the Supply Team in the Netherlands. Sounds good? Join us!

About us

Up to 15% of city space is used for parking. At the same time, roughly 85% of existing parking spaces are daily unoccupied. At ParkBee, we are on a mission to change that. We develop smart technology to optimise the use of existing parking space, thereby allowing cities to reduce on-street parking and give space back to the city.

ParkBee is a fast growing technology scale-up that is revolutionising parking and mobility. We are growing rapidly and the Supply team is playing a central role in this. Currently we have a team of 65 people in The Netherlands and 7 people working in our London office and we keep growing! To sustain this rapid growth it is crucial for us to find new locations for ParkBee to open-up. This is the responsibility of the Supply team - to create partnerships with new locations. With over 230 locations in the Netherlands alone, ParkBee is quickly growing to be one of the largest digital car park operators. To keep adding more locations we will need to analise new markets and keep investing in new partnerships.

What you’ll be doing

With the Supply team we are responsible for the influx of new car park locations. This results in lots of meetings with external parties (real-estate owners, developers and advisors). In this position you will be guided to take part in such meetings from the beginning till the end where you will often prepare a small part yourself. The internship is therefore very hands-on. Due to the involvement of the team you will quickly be brought up to date with interesting projects.

ParkBee creates an environment with a significant amount of freedom and responsibility. Working for an innovative and growing scale-up can be challenging but extremely rewarding! You will have an important role in this crucial stage of growth. As most of our employees have started recently, there is a low hierarchy and an open feedback culture, wherein everyone is easily approachable and there are lots of learning opportunities.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop business cases for new markets, locations and car park portfolios;
  • Analyse opportunities to further enhance sustainability of car parks e.g. via implementation of EV charging or other green sustainability factors;
  • Analyse shared mobility and mobility hub opportunities;
  • Assist in current acquisition deal flow (revenue share, lease and/or acquisitions) and go-live of new locations;
  • Optimise and ensure efficient communications with the other departments;
  • Work on multiple projects such as investment proposals, modeling and business cases at once;
  • Perform and implement desk research on new opportunities.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an ambitious and analytical intern to join the Supply team in the Netherlands. Someone that brings enthusiasm and wants to learn in the charmingly hectic environment of a fast growing technology scale-up. You have an outgoing personality and a team player attitude. You love to roll up your sleeves and take action. Coupled with a strong work ethic and proactive attitude, this helps you take on new challenges with a positive approach.

We’re likely to be a match, if you:

  • Are a current student or recent graduate from the fields of engineering, business administration, economics, real-estate and/or sustainability looking for a full-time internship (40 hours);
  • Are available for a 3-6 month internship starting as soon as possible;
  • Are fluent in both Dutch and English, written and spoken;
  • Have affinity with Microsoft Office tooling;
  • Have good analytical skills and are a critical thinker.

What you'll get in return:

  • The opportunity and freedom to make a huge impact on our products and growth;
  • A compensation of 400 euros per month;
  • Be part of a very diverse team with various backgrounds in Sales, M&A, Real-Estate, Strategy and Sustainability;
  • Attend regular cool team events and Friday drinks, live or virtual :)
  • Daily delicious lunch in the office;
  • Designated time to learn, not just within the Supply team, but also within other departments.
